About us

     

     Willamina Christian Church was established in 1940.   We are an independent  church and aligned with other independent Christian Churches and Churches of Christ.  Our heritage is the Restoration Movement, begun in the 19th century by various men who desired to see the church return to its Biblical description and mission.  

 

                 -We strive toward the goal of seeing all believers in Jesus                       Christ living in the unity for which Jesus prayed for on

                   the night of His betrayal (John 17:20-24).  

 

                 -We believe this unity can only be found as we make the                          Bible, the inspired Word of God (II Timothy 3:16),  our                           authority and source of all we believe.

 

                 -We do not believe we are the only Christians but                                      Christians only.

 

      As a Church we exist for one reason-- to fufill the commission          given to the apostles in Matthew 28:18-20. 

 

     Our Worship services are multi-generational and tend to feature       more contemporary music with the old hymns mixed in.                     The entire family begins the day together in the Worship Center       for the music portion of the service with children being                       dismissed prior to the sermon to go to the Illumination Station           for an age appropriate lesson time.
